Mike Stewart In 1996, I signed up to be a Boston area field marketing intern for Energy Records. This is how I discovered Bile. I remember the folks at Energy came to Boston and took me to see them play. It was this album that started it all for me. I still love this album. It's as fresh then as it is now. While I don't work in music anymore, it was such an extraordinary experience and will forever treasure this gem!

New York industrial band Bile's first album, SuckPump, was released in 1994. The album was released on the now defunct Energy Records and has not been reissued since the company's fold in 2000.
After being out of print for three years, Bile decided to re-release the album alongside their out-of-print second release, Teknowhore, as a digipak titled Frankenhole in 2003.
SuckPump was written and recorded by Chris 'Krztoff' Liggio
produced and engineered by David 'Slave' Stagnari, Robert 'Void' Caprio, and Krztoff (reported on the album as Kristoff).

While this album can be monoteous & Skold can't properly handle high octaves on Equilazer i salute it's clever use of minimalism - things like instantly memorable pulsating beats in Fiction, secateurs-like sounds in Decay, Decay, compressed church organ in Murder Suicide. All of this is wrapped up into suitably cold OG industrial soundscapes with interesting, open to interpretations lyrics deeply exploring spiritual satanism & dark mythology.
